In a class called Regional Project Exercise, our team decided to design a satoyama playground and make brochures with the local government and NPO.

I went to Satoyama immediately and made a field survey.

The trees are still thin and unbearable.

The sunshine through the trees that were properly thinned was bright enough.

The thinning of the trees also led to good ventilation.

The ground with moisture and the heat of vaporization from the wind also gave us some coolness.

地域プロジェクト演習という授業で、私たちのチームは、地域の行政とNPOと一緒に里山の遊び場設計とパンフレット作製をすることになりました。

早速里山に行って、現地調査です。

木々はまだ細く大きな重さには耐えられなさそうでしたが、適度に間引かれた木々の間からの木漏れ日は十分に明るく、間引きは風通しの良さにもつながっており、水分を持つ地面と風による気化熱で涼しさも得られていました。
